Inspired by Queering the Map, ‘Colouring the Map’ is an autonomous zine that sought to normalise the multifaceted nature of the BIPOC experience on the stolen lands of the Australian National University (ANU). When reflecting on our journeys at this university, we realised that our experiences were a coalition of positive and negative events. ‘Colouring the Map’ was therefore divided into two sections; moments of joy and moments of alienation. We knew these moments were only the tip of the iceberg when it came to the depths that our stories hold. Yet, we hoped this zine would be a place for BIPOC people to find solace in shared experiences. This zine was written, edited, and created by BIPOC people, and began in 2021 when COAR originally formed as a club at the ANU.​
