About the event
This March we’re doing a take two of our fabric painting event!
The rain may have cancelled our plans in January, but now we’re back at the Food Co-op and sunshine, hail or rain the event will go on. So bring along an old T-shirt, tote bag, or whatever piece of fabric you like and we’ll supply the fabric paints and paintbrushes for a wonderful afternoon of fabric painting (featuring BIPOC tunes and raffle games too!). Think anti-racist quotes on your plain shirt, or funky art designs on your basic tote bag, the sky is your artistic limit.
Please note this event is autonomous to individuals that identify as Bla(c)k, Indigenous, and/or people of colour.
Entry ticketing is $2 but is free for First Nations peoples as COAR creates anti-racist spaces on stolen land. Ticketing will also be waived for low SES people so that we can ensure our space remains accessible.
For those who are financially well positioned, COAR invites you to donate whatever more you can through the tickets to support our 100% volunteer run efforts in creating our beautiful community.
The Food Co-Op is fully wheelchair accessible with ramps leading to both entrances. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to us via our social media platforms or email us at coar.cbr@gmail.com.
COAR acknowledges that we are gathering on the stolen lands of the Ngunnawal and Ngambri peoples. We pay our respects to Elders past and present.
Sovereignty was never ceded.
COAR commits to standing with First Nations peoples.
